A special air quality statement is in effect for Lunenburg County because of wildfire smoke from the Long Lake fire. Environment Canada says although the air quality improved slightly overnight it will likely get worse as today wears on. The agency is advising residents to limit time outside and to consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.
