A recent trade mission to China has left the Fisheries and Aquaculture Minister with a positive feeling. Kent Smith says the 10-day trip was incredibly important for Nova Scotia’s producers, its economy, and for nurturing future trade relationships with China. Smith says that, despite the new tariffs on most seafood imports from Canada, there was a strong sense of optimism about future trade with Chinese seafood importers and government officials.
