Climate Change Spending

Nine more communities are receiving money from the provincial government to support climate change measures. The Community Climate Capacity Program supports communities in protecting against the effects of climate change, from coastal protection to flood planning and exploring clean energy options. This year, the nine communities include Lunenburg, Antigonish, Lockeport, New Glasgow and Port Hawkesbury; the municipalities of Cumberland and Richmond; and the regions of Queens and West Hants. This is the second round of funding, with the province investing $7.3 million so far.
