The federal government is slashing tolls on the Confederation Bridge from just over $50 to $20. Fares on ferries between Nova Scotia and PEI will also drop by 50 per cent. The bridge is the only connection between the province and the rest of Canada. While making the announcement, Prime Minister Mark Carney said the reduction means more travel and trade between provinces and a stronger and more united economy.
