Construction of the new whale sanctuary near Wine Harbour will start when the weather improves. The Whale Sanctuary Project says the pen with floating nets will be finished by the second half of this year. The organization wants to bring two orcas from France and just returned from a trip to France to convince the government to send the killer whales to Nova Scotia, but the French government is also considering moving them to a zoo in Spain. A decision By the French government will be made by the end of March.
