Gold River Trail Bridge Update

Work continues on the Granite River Trail Bridge. All three granite piers have been repointed, and the new west concrete abutment supporting the pre-engineered bridge span has been poured and is curing. Crews are currently backfilling around the new abutment. The entire center span will be jacked up to install new bridge bearings that will support the structure and allow it to expand and contract as temperatures dictate. This was the original cause of the failure that led to the closure.
