Homelessness in Halifax has grown by 93 per cent over the last two years. According to a report to regional council, there were 1,100 homeless people in November, compared to 220 in 2018. The report also shows that 220 were sleeping outside, which is a decrease of 50 per cent. More than one-third of people experiencing homelessness had been evicted from their homes.
