The stepfather of the two missing kids from Pictou County has had his court case adjourned. Daniel Martell was supposed to enter a plea to the charges of assault, unlawful confinement, and sexual assault and choose his mode of trial yesterday. Instead, his lawyer from Nova Scotia Legal Aid asked for a 1-month adjournment to read the disclosures provided by the Crown, some of which were as late as last Friday. The case was adjourned until May 4th.
