The Nova Scotia Power ransomware attack will be investigated by the federal privacy commissioner. The utility confirmed they had been subject to a hack where the personal information of 280,000 customers was stolen. They have also say that information was being published on the dark web. The privacy commissioner says they will look into the steps the company has taken to contain the breach, notify customers and reduce the risk of fraud and identity theft.
