Drivers are being reminded to slow down and move over for roadside workers
Drivers are being reminded to slow down and move over for roadside workers to ensure their safety. CAA is marking a national awareness day to educate Canadians on this law. Slow Down, Move Over legislation requires drivers to slow down to 60 km/h or the speed limit if lower, when passing emergency vehicles with flashing lights. The law now includes tow trucks. Recent incidents have prompted calls for improved safety measures, including the use of blue lights to grab drivers' attention.
