Small and medium businesses in Atlantic Canada will now have access to a new relief program. The Regional Tariff Response Initiative is designed to help businesses respond to trade shocks by supporting projects that diversify markets, strengthen supply chains and boost domestic trade. Sean Fraser, the minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, made the announcement late last week. Information sessions will be held in the next few weeks to explain the program's guidelines and the application process.
