The District of Lunenburg is giving away trees late in September. More than 1,000 trees will be given away to property owners looking to green up their property. The event will be held at the New Germany Legion on September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There is a limit of two trees per household, and anyone interested must bring along their Assessment Account Number. You can register in advance, but this is a first-come-first-served event.
