You still need to stay out of the woods in Lunenburg County as the woods restriction continues. The district was not included on a list of municipalities where the ban has been lifted. Extremely dry and hazardous conditions continue to persist here. The ban also remains in effect in Pictou, Colchester, Cumberland, Hants, Kings, Annapolis, Queens, Shelburne, Digby, and Yarmouth counties. The ban in these areas will stay in effect until October 15th, or until conditions improve. Conditions have improved in some areas, allowing the province to lift woods restrictions in Cape Breton, Richmond, Victoria, Inverness, Guysborough, Antigonish, and Halifax counties. The entire province remains under a provincewide burn ban.
