Lunenburg County remains under the woods restriction. The province lifted the restrictions in Pictou and Colchester Counties yesterday. However, the province says the extremely dry conditions persisting in the rest of the province are still hazardous, and the risk of wildfires persists. The restriction will remain in effect until October 15th or until conditions improve in the remaining counties under the restrictions. The fine for violating it is $25,000. It is important to note that the provincewide burn ban remains in effect until October 15th.
